The year 2021 is the 4th year that IBC has run the “U-School Mentoring to Develop Quality Education in the Locality” project for four schools, namely, Boket vijitwittaya School, Thung Mo Kindergarten, Tha Pho Kindergarten and Khlong Ngae Kindergarten School.

Why is Creative Learning meaningful?
In the year 2021, according to the new normal schooling requirement, both physical and online classes are recommended for students. Hence, IBC came out with craftworks on topics such as “Myself”, “My Family” as well as English videos that focused on “Preposition”, “Direction” and “Distance” for students to learn at home. These works involved the creation of toy motorbikes and other items from recycled products.

The purpose/aims (3 E)
1) English learning: According to the objectives of the activities, the purpose is not only to promote English Language learning;
2) Ethics & Moral Education: But also to provide moral education on the values and principles that make one a good human being;
3) Environmental-friendly: And also teaches students to reuse reusable things to be aware of the importance of saving our planet.

The activities aim to provide students with a platform to implement what they have learned in their daily lives. The ultimate purpose is to encourage them to have confidence in speaking English.

The process (3 E)
1) Excitement: By learning from home, the child does not feel lonely with the presence of family members. In fact, children become more adept at using the internet and technology tools at an early age.

2) Enthusiasm: As we shall be living under pandemic conditions for some time, we have to think of all possible ways to continue our learning process with positive energy.

3) Exceptional: Although no one can predict the future, 20 years from today, the children will be taking over the reins of leadership; hence, they need to try out by starting now.

What is the outcome?
Creative learning is an exciting learning method compared with the traditional way of memorizing. Students feel happier with their learning and participation in class.

The Outcomes (3 C)
1) Creative learning: During these activities, we can stimulate creativity in the students.
2) Critical thinking: The students can think critically by themselves.
3) Confidence: Students can also develop skills and confidence from their practice.

In conclusion, we aim to help students recognize their interest, ability, skill and talent for their long-term success by taking the initiative to learn independently and with self-motivation.
