August 5, 2016 (Friday), International Buddhist College (IBC) presented the Award of Dean’s List to outstanding students in recognition of their academic achievements and excellence. A certificate and a token of encouragement of 5,000 Baht and 7,000 Baht respectively have been handed over to the awarded BA and MA students. The presentation ceremony was conducted by the Most Ven. Dr. Wei Wu, the Founder and Council Chairman of IBC, with the participation of the professors, lecturers, staff and students.
Dean’s List awardees are:
BA:

MA:
1. Ven. Nipun Barua (Bangladesh), Student ID: 201512020
2. Ven. Dipu Barua (Bangladesh), Student ID: 201512022
In this respective event, firstly the Most Ven. Dr. Wei Wu congratulated the awardees and hoped that they would continue to do well in their studies. He also wished that other students will study well under the lecturers’ guidance. Besides that, Venerable took the opportunity to announce to all the members that Professor Jamspal has been appointed as the new Dean of Faculty of Liberal Arts in replacing Ven. Dhammanandi, who is willing to release from her previous position and responsibility. On behalf of IBC, Venerable thanked Ven. Dhammanandi for her dedication and commitment towards IBC all these years. Eventually, Venerable shared that the New Students Orientation Program (NSOP) was successful organized. Nowadays, all new first year students such as for BA, MA and PhD programs are studying at Sadao campus. There are both Chinese and English medium offered for MA and PhD program respectively. The Most Ven. Dr. Wei Wu finally expressed his wish for all the students to study well before he ended his speech.
Notably, Dean's List Award is presented every semester to a student who achieved a minimum combined G.P.A. of 3.76 and above, and Conduct grading of 3.01 and above in the semester. The student, further, must have been enrolled as a full-time student, and have been graded on the minimum of 3 courses, with the completion of all courses on time.
